Workspace
Workspace is the area in which work is performed. Each person's work style and work needs will be a bit different. When designing a workspace the following should be considered:
- Accessible and safe for the user while performing tasks and for maintenance/cleaning personnel.
- Meets locally regulated space-planning codes.
- Supports work tasks adequately.
- Supports ease of workflow.
- Supports style of work intended.
- Offers a high degree of arrangement flexibility without undue complexity and cost.
- Wiring and cables should be securely fastened and held within horizontal or vertical ducting.
- Wiring and cables should be long enough to allow the user to arrange the workspace and work surfaces optimally.
